World War Two Memories

In Spring 2025 students from the University of Essex interviewed members of the Little Cornard community about their shared family memories of war. Stories passed down through the generations have now been preserved and digitised for all to hear.

Alongside individual interviews and a fascinating community group interview, they also carried out recorded interviews of locals Gerald Bird and Rosemary Bullen during a wonderful afternoon with Year 6 at Bures Primary School. The children came up with all of their own questions!
